BMW launched its first BMW M3 sport sedan  in 1986. The latest M3 boasts its first ever production 8-cylinder engine which was inspired by Formula 1. The M3 Sedan features a Double Clutch Gearbox (DKG) which is a 7-speed transmission using two independently operating clutches (but the sport sedan is sans a clutch pedal). Each clutch controls either  the odd or the even gears so all that power can flow uninterrupted from the fire breathing BWM powered V-8 engine to the transmission. The result makes for some seamless up- and downshifts and improved acceleration. BMW provides the option of shifting with a center console mounted gear shifter or with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

In typical BWM fashion the luxury sport sedan offers the interior creature comforts known and loved from its high bolster front seats to keep the you in the seat and behind the steering wheel. In the Bimmer, the steering is just about perfect in terms of weighting, precision and retains the BMW feel.
The BWM racy aggressive styling with its sharply defined wheel arches, shark –like gills along the front quarter panels. The BMW sport sedan rides on 19 inch rims utilizing the Y-spoke pattern.
