A roomy 5 passenger sedan provides an inspired daily commute all while producing an efficient 25 - 31 mpg. The base 170 hp 4 cylinder engine when matched to the manual 6 speed transmission provides plenty of torque to charge highway on-ramps and back country roads.  Those looking for a bit more power can opt for the turbo charged 265 hp engine (found in the Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Limited) or the 256 hp 3.6 liter 6 cylinder.

New features like an automatic parking brake and hill assist (on 6sp MT) put the fun back into driving. A large spacious trunk, vast array of cup holders  and the redesigned interior give passengers a comfortable luxury sedan ride.
